Due to COVID-19, travelling out of Europe has been somehow difficult, but at the end we managed to start our secondments with our non-EU partners. Manuel Fachal, a PhD student at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, is now seconded in Prince of Songkla University (Thailand). During his two-months secondment, he will be working with Prof. Sumate Chaiprapat and his team on biogas upgrading technologies via hydrogenotrophic methanogenesis, which in the RECYCLES future it may be a sustainable approach to upgrade the biogas generated by the Thai latex industry.
