Mireia Baeza, professor at the Department of Chemistry of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, has started her secondment in Italprogetti Spa, which will last until late November. During this time, she will be working together with staff from Italprogetti Spa and Università degli Studi di Firenze aiming at integrating innovative analytical devices that permits chemical characterization of sulphur species (SO42-, S2- and HS–) and nitrogen species (NO2–, NO3– and NH3) into different processes such as wastewater treatment or anaerobic digestion of fleshing, a task foreseen in WP1.
